When the GPS does not work,

  1. In view of dry land: we use the nautical chart and daymarks or noteworthy objects that you can pick up from dry land and we position ourselves in this way via triangulation.
  2. Offshore and with dry land out of site: we use a sextant which is able to measure the altitude of the stars, the nautical chart, the nautical almanac and a watch. And then we can position ourselves!
