Hi Bob, Thanks for your question. We try to double up or carry spares for most of the systems on board. Read this answer Rich wrote, describing the four methods by which we can charge the batteries. Further down the system we have three batteries on board which can be run independently and if needed we could still sail the boat with just one working. We have two autopilot systems fully installed at all times so Rich can flick between these two if he has problems. We have two processors which run the wind, speed and heading information, I think five GPS units which give us the boats position and two water makers which turn the seawater into drinkable water.
